Happy love-month, everyone! I’ve been having a blast exploring love-themed treats and gifts. Every year I try to drop hints about the wonderful, romantic things I’ve recently seen to make my husband’s job a little bit easier on Love Day…although I must say; he does pretty well on his own when it comes to making me smile.
I’ve found so many romantic possibilities this year that I had trouble limiting myself to 10 items for my blog entry …so it wouldn’t rival “War and Peace” in length.
Here you have it: My Valentines Day suggestions –some may appeal to your sweet tooth, others for their bling-quality and still others for their sheer beauty. I hope this helps at least spark some ideas. Have fun.

#2 – Diamond Love Tattoo Ring by Catherine Angiel
This edgy white diamond “Love” band, weighing in at .70 Carats is inspired by graffiti according to Ms. Angiel. In that case, I wouldn’t mind some graffiti on my ring finger this year.
#3 – J.Yoon’s “INNER MESSAGE” rings are for the ultra romantic couple.
Jungyun Yoon is the clever jewelry designer who created a ring that leaves a lasting impression for lovers—literally. The simple band has a unique twist. The inside has raised letters that leave an impression on the wearer’s finger when the ring is removed so the message remains whether the ring is on or off. The two messages currently available are “Always” and “Marry Me.” Ahhhh, so romantic…Pitter, Patter, Pitter, Patter.
#4 – Jeanine Payer’s romantic 14k gold heart necklace
I love Emerson—what’s not to love? This heart necklace is engraved with one of my favorite Emerson’s quotes, “Live for Love.” Payer had me at “Live…”
The brilliant pink tourmaline makes the necklace even more “Valentine-y.” I love it.

Proust, Baudelaire and Victor Hugo also sang their praises helping to create the worldwide cult following Debauve & Gallais enjoy today. I’ve heard their reputation is well deserved. I’ve got to try some of these chocolates no matter what the caloric deficit!

We all have heard that “Macarons are the new Cupcakes,” haven’t we? They sure are just as, if not more yummy and Laduree makes some of the best. #8 - A New Breed of Roses Keeps Traditional Interesting

Rose breeder Dan Heims discovered a new breed of roses at a German Flower convention. They’re called the “Green Beauty” and were bred by Olig Breeding in Korea—bred, not dyed. I think the subtle bronze edge against the pastel green blooms is very beautiful. I’ve read they can be found at Columbia Roses. What a special way to say “I love you.”

#9 – Your ‘Furry’ Valentine
Doesn’t your faithful dog deserve his or her own box of Valentine’s Day treats? The Humane Society thinks so. This VD box contains doggy cookies, truffles and bon bons with names like “Belly Rubs,” “Muddy Paws,” and “Snickerdoodles.” We love the names…they’ll love the treats. Woof!
#10 – And if your pooch is more of an athelete…
The Humane Society offers Valentine-themed baseballs for the energetic pups. It seems this poor poochy is already tired out from all the action…which is not necessarily a bad thing as anyone with a new puppy will attest to!
